My name is Amy Hornung and I am honored and privileged to serve Nightengale Elementary as Principal. Our mission at Nightengale is to educate, inspire and empower all of our students to fulfill their potential as learners and citizens.  I want to personally congratulate staff, parents, and students for making attendance at school a priority.  Please continue to help your child develop good attendance habits by bringing him/her to school on time, every day. Being actively involved in your child’s education is essential to developing a strong partnership between home and school. Whether you work full-time or stay at home, make sure you take time everyday to connect and be present with your child. Talk to your child about what he/she is doing in school, have your child read to you, provide a quiet place to do homework every day, and help your child stay organized.
